Born in Italy during the golden age of industrial design, this piece was created for Kartell by Gino Colombini, one of the pioneers who helped shape modern everyday objects in the late 60s and 70s.
At that time, Kartell was redefining the home: transforming functional items into sculptural, contemporary pieces through innovative materials and bold forms.
Originally designed as an ashtray, this object goes far beyond its initial purpose.
Today, it naturally becomes:
• a catchall for keys and jewellery
• a desk valet tray
• a coffee table accent
• or simply a collectible design object
An authentic slice of Italian modernism preserved in excellent condition and still accompanied by its original box.
