Beautiful Italian opaline glass pitcher vase from Empoli, Tuscany, crafted circa 1970–1975 by Vetreria Barbieri.
This piece is a classic example of “Opaline Florence” glass, featuring a bold marbled pattern of chocolate brown and beige swirls over a luminous white opaline base. The interior remains a soft opaque white, while the exterior displays a smooth, fire-polished finish.
Its elegant silhouette is defined by a tall flared neck with a subtle pouring spout and a sculptural clear applied handle, giving the piece both presence and fluidity.
Often attributed to Murano designers like Carlo Moretti, this style is in fact characteristic of Empoli glass production, with Barbieri being one of the key manufacturers specializing in this marbled technique during the 1970s.
A true statement piece, ideal for collectors of Italian art glass or as a standout decorative object.
